James Rutherford
Been doing matched betting and bonus hunting for 8 years. I've seen every trick in the T&Cs and I share what actually works.
What I do here
I rate UK casino bonuses using expected value maths โ the same approach matched bettors and advantage players use. My rating comes from wagering multiplier, RTP, max win caps, payment method eligibility, and time limits. Commission size doesn't factor in.
How I cover costs
I earn affiliate commission when you click through to a casino and sign up. That's disclosed on every page. The commission pays for testing and running the site, but it doesn't influence ratings. A 0x wagering casino that pays lower commission will always rank above a 40x casino that pays more. The maths is the maths.
What I don't do
- I don't take payment to change ratings
- I don't list casinos without checking their UKGC license
- I don't publish terms I haven't read properly
- I don't recommend bonuses I've calculated as negative value without saying so
Why I focus on wagering requirements
Most casino comparison sites lead with bonus size: "Get ยฃ500 free!" But bonus size is marketing. What actually matters is whether you can realistically withdraw any of it. That comes down to wagering requirements, game restrictions, max bet limits, and time constraints.
I started tracking bonuses after losing money on offers that looked great on paper. A 100% match bonus at 40x wagering costs you more than it gives you โ I learned that the hard way. Now I run the maths first and only recommend offers where the numbers actually work.
How the site is structured
Content is organised by what matters to players making real decisions:
- No wagering bonuses โ 0x wagering, the cleanest offers available
- Low wagering bonuses โ Under 25x, positive expected value at typical RTPs
- ยฃ1 deposit casinos โ Test before committing significant money
- Bonus terms explained โ Plain English guides to confusing industry jargon
- Wagering calculator โ Run the maths on any bonus yourself

Responsible gambling
Gambling should be entertainment, not a way to make money. Even positive-EV bonuses have variance โ you can and will lose sessions. If gambling stops being fun, or if you're chasing losses, stop and get help:
- GamCare โ Free support and counselling
- BeGambleAware โ Information and advice
- GAMSTOP โ Self-exclusion from all UK gambling sites
